Golferitaville 10th Anniversary

Ok, so I may have spoken too soon. I said I would never be found on a real golf course. There is always an exception. Margaritas are reason for an exception. Enter Golferitaville where tee time is margarita time!

2020 marks the 16th anniversary of the South Sounds Jimmy Buffett inspired charity golf tournament Golferitaville. Bloody Marys, raffles, and prizes throughout the day. A great way to raise money and a prime opportunity for local businesses to gain exposure. Add to that some inflatable flamingos and you find yourself in a true Golferitaville state of mind.

Speaking of margaritas, this week we celebrate Cinco de Mayo! The date that marks Mexico's victory at The Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. In the states, we use this day to celebrate Mexico's culture and traditions with parades, music, and dancing. More commonly we rush the bars after work, eat tacos, and drown ourselves in tequila all in the name of Mexico. Since we are all stuck at home this year for Cinco de Mayo, with most bars closed and golf courses vacant, perhaps we can open a book and do the knowledge of Mexican culture as we take sips of our favorite mezcal.

This year Golferitaville may or may not go on as scheduled. Check out this custom throwback from the 10th anniversary of Golferitaville. Adjustable strap, distressed brim, and hand faded around the crown. Stunning peacock embroidery sitting atop the lime green text.
